Topographical Surveys
In 2008 The Surveying Company carried out a topographical survey of a 4ha area at Te Mata Peak. The Te Mata Park Trust Board cleared the area of pine trees and eucalyptus trees that were at the end of their lives and becoming a public hazard and replaced them with a variety of deciduous, native and exotic plants. The Surveying Company completed a plan of the area that has been replanted, naming the plants and mapping the area which also includes a trail walk. The plan has recently been erected as a sign at the Te Mata Peak "gateway".
